The ₹3.45cr Lamborghini Huracán RWD Spyder is more expensive than your house

Total sleeper

The ₹3.45cr Lamborghini Huracán RWD Spyder is more expensive than your house

But it’s probably better value

A quick back-of-the-envelope calculation should tell you that you need an obscene monthly income to afford a 1BHK hovel near Chunabhatti, Mumbai. For that sort of money, you’re signing away whatever little hope you had for a life of some happiness and experience. Or you could buy the new-for-India Lamborghini Huracán RWD Spyder and live on the streets. BUT YOU WOULD RULE THOSE FREAKIN' STREETS! Also, you could tell your extended family (who by now are making arrangements to institutionalise you) that you finally have a roof over your head.

That fabric roof – essential for the Spyder genre – operates in 17 seconds at speeds of upto 50kmph, so you can quickly escape your jealous fellow homeless who may throw all manner of refuse into your convertible exotic. WHY CAN”T YOU BE HAPPY FOR ME?

Naturally, when you pay more money for a car without a real roof, you expect some extras. The Spyder comes with a more aggressive front and rear design, and specially-designed Pirelli PZero tyres, since it’s rear-wheel drive only. Once the roof is stowed, two fins rise out of the roof casing, making the car look a bit more special. Because you know, it’s a total sleeper without those.

The Huracán RWD Spyder comes equipped with Lamborghini Doppia Frizione (LDF) – a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission akin to corporate cousin PDK (Porsche DoubleKrunchy). Launch control is present, as it should be for an RWD-only car that outputs 580hp/540Nm. There’s also an optional Lamborghini Dynamic Steering (LDS) package optimised for the rear-drive.

Now I know what you’re thinking. What of the understandably prodigious quantities of fuel the Huracán RWD Spyder is likely to consume? This Lambo has you covered. five of the ten cylinders in the 5.2l V10 engine deactivate to save fuel and the environment when required, switching back on when you accelerate, which should be as often as possible once you buy this car.

So the next time you’re out and about in your Lamborghini Huracan RWD Spyder / house and someone asks you “kitna deti hai”, you can proudly proclaim: “ummeed se dugna!”
